Smily is a triangular shaped patented unit made on an ergonomic modular structure to better use space by offering functional teaching work stations. The unit has an automatic opening of the phantom into various work stations. Easy-tech system allows video transmission from the teacher’s bench to the stations connected, while students can use a touch-screen panel to call the teacher’s attention. Its dentist section is equipped with a 3F syringe, turbine, electrical or pneumatic micro-motor, plus another optional instrument such as a turbine or tartar remover, while its assistant section is fully equipped to host any central or local suction system. Smily has been designed by Pininfarina for Universities and postgraduate teaching centers. From February 2008 Saratoga was awarded by 5 new and futurist Dental Faculties such as Turin University, Rome La Sapienza University and Trieste University in Italy, plus Abbha University in Saudi Arabia and Toulouse University in France.
